In-form Wales 3/4 to win Thursday’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Cyprus on Thursday

Competition: Euro 2016 Qualifier
Market: Wales to win against Cyprus
Odds:

An in-form Wales travel to face Cyprus for Thursday’s Euro 2016 qualifiers, with the visitors big favourites to come out on top. The Red Dragons have impressed under manager Chris Coleman, and they are expected to earn all three points in this week’s clash as a result.

Cyprus are coming off the back of a 5-0 defeat against Belgium, while Wales have won both qualifiers this year. The visitors came out on top against Cyprus when they locked horns in their first qualifier of 2014 too. Wales have greatly improved since Coleman returned as manager, and really showed their mettle in the previous campaign – winning two and drawing two of their four games in the group.

Boasting the likes of Gareth Bale (Real Madrid) has made a big difference to Wales in competitive fixtures, with the former Southampton and Tottenham man having shone in a Wales shirt for a number of years. He plays a starring role for his country, and has been consistent in front of goal in friendlies and competitive fixtures.

Cyprus are no slouches, however. The home side are only two points behind Wales in Group B, and would go level on points with Israel in first place if they can win. It’s a difficult group with Belgium and Bosnia Herzegovina both below Cyprus and Wales in the table, so neither side wants to let them in by dropping points this week.

Wales haven’t been too full of goals in their qualifying campaign, but their tight defensive record will be key against Cyprus. The visitors could go top of the pack with all three points, providing leaders Israel fail to win their next qualifier.
