Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl Odds: How They Got Here

After coming up short in Super Bowl 53, the Los Angeles Rams missed the playoffs. Then, they were ousted in the Divisional Round a year later.

Head coach Sean McVay knew his Super Bowl window wouldn’t stay open forever, especially with Jared Goff as his quarterback. So, he said, “f#$% it, who needs draft picks,” and went out and traded for Matthew Stafford.

With the move, the Rams immediately became a legitimate contender and saw their Super Bowl futures jump from +2,000 to +1,200. And despite some ups-and-downs throughout the season, the all-in gamble paid off as the Rams return to the Big Game, and in their own stadium no less.

49ers vs Eagles NFC Conference Championship Props: CMC Takes Off in Philadelphia

The San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles face off in the NFC Championship game on Sunday with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

Both the Eagles and Niners have very well-rounded teams with dominant defenses. However, there is also one weakness they each have, and Kyle Shanahan and Nick Sirianni will no doubt try to expose that flaw.

That’s why I’m betting on Christian McCaffrey and A.J. Brown while expecting a lighter workload for Brock Purdy with my best free NFL player props for the 49ers vs. Eagles on January 29.

Deion Sanders Odds to be Next Coach of the Denver Broncos

Deion Sanders is a lot of things. He’s charismatic, well-spoken, a great recruiter, and a great motivator. He’s also the current head coach at the University of Colorado, where he’s had a transformative impact on the football program.

Some like his coaching/recruiting tactics but most thought overhauling a college football program was a recipe for disaster.

Through seven weeks of action, Sanders, aka “Coach Prime” has coached his Buffaloes team to a 4-3 record. There have been plenty of wow moments, but there have also been plenty of wtf moments… including last week’s 46-43 loss to Stanford where the team blew a 29-0 halftime lead as 13.5-point college football odds favorites.

Some would point out it’s the roster that’s the issue, wh…

NFL Week 18 Picks and Predictions: Doubt Dolphins at Own Risk

Betting NFL Week 18 is not for the faint of heart.

The regular season finales present plenty of puzzles for both bookies and bettors alike, as motivations are a mixed bag — a bag stuffed with feral cats, rusty mouse traps, and defective deep fryers.

The last slate of games for the 2023 season is especially enigmatic, as several clubs can still qualify for the postseason should things bounce their way this weekend.

There are also playoff-bound teams weighing rest vs. rust, leaving Week 18 odds in limbo with several spreads parked at “dead numbers” as the market waits for more information.

And, of course, there are those teams with nothing to play for. Do the players care? Are head coaches on the way out? Would a win spoil t…

Close contact time in training has almost halved since return

Premier League clubs have substantially changed the way they train amid the coronavirus pandemic, with the average time players spend within two metres of one another almost halving during the first week of contact sessions.

Project Restart is stepping up ahead of the top flight’s resumption on 17 June, with clubs given the green light to move from physically distanced small group training to contact sessions on 27 May.

The Premier League worked with STATSports to help shape those sessions as its technology provides data on the movement of players and how often they come into contact with each other, enabling clubs to assess the risk of different aspects of training.

‘I hit a wall’: Curtis Jones credits Liverpool revival to change of mindset

Curtis Jones has said it took a change in mindset to establish himself at Liverpool having “hit a wall” when he first broke into Jürgen Klopp’s team.

The 22-year-old is enjoying the finest period of his senior career at present, an ongoing three-match suspension notwithstanding, having secured a regular starting role for his boyhood club last season, scored the winner in the European under-21s Championship final in July and held off competition from several new signings at Liverpool to retain his place this term.

Sports is sometimes disheartening as a profit-margin-focused enterprise, but it does produce some great stories

Yes, sports is like all other major American industries — run by a handful of people who made out like bandits in this economic system of great wealth disparity. Because they have accumulated such vast wealth, they believe that is a sign of intelligence and that hubris frequently leads to poor decision-making both on and off the field of play. For all of the greed, drama, bickering, and dozens of pages of investigation findings, sports remains a highly compelling entertainment product. The players rise through the ranks as they go from children to adults, what they endure in the process, the disagreements with coaches and management, the agony of defeat, and eventually victory whether it’s a championship, an all-star appearance, or maybe just making a timely contribution on a big sta…
